What We Offer

Andrew provides psychiatric rehabilitation for adults with severe, persistent mental illness. We are the only residential program in the Twin Cities that provides the depth and breadth of physical health care services including health maintenance, illness prevention, and recovery to those with mental illness.

Andrew Residence utilizes the evidence-based practice of Illness Management and Recovery to guide our treatment program. We offer collaborative and trauma-informed treatment services that align with an individual’s personal goals and needs. Our program provides a framework to help guide residents through the process of recovery and moving forward on their journey. We view residents as the expert of their personal experience with mental illness, and we work with residents to learn more about their mental illness to identify and develop coping strategies to better manage their symptoms. This partnership, with every resident having a dedicated Andrew program manager, provides weekly opportunities to support residents, engage in mutual problem solving, and encourage active participation in therapeutic programming. We focus on helping residents develop personalized strategies for managing their mental illness. Our social workers, recreation therapists, exercise specialists and living skills instructors provide over 50 different groups and one on ones every month.
